Restoring a 911S
911S 2,0 1969. Barn-find in Austria. The car was bought and transported to our garage in Sweden in the beginning of April 2011. It was originally built for Mr Michael Piech, grandson of Mr Ferdinand Porsche. During the years, it seems to have been used for club-racing/rally, and has been totally neglected for the last 25 years. On this blog I will try to keep you updated on the restoration, which will last approximately 2 years from April 2011.

It's not stopped!
Maybe you think that I gave up the restoration? No way, but I focus on the 911 instead of computer work!
The work on the body is started, a lot of work............
I also got the info from http://www.elevenparts.com/ that the seats cloth most likely is order by Michael Piech himself- very good info. Now I need to find the correct fabric, any leads?

Engine out!
Last week I took the engine out, which was easily done. This far into the dismantling, not one single bolt has been stuck due to rust. With the engine on the garage floor, outside the car, it suddenly looked very big! The engine oil and gearbox oil were both very good, feels a bit promising, maybe the condition of the gearbox and engine is better than the body!
When I took away the gear lever today, I found a "pet" - a small Austrian (?) mouse.
